have worked with over 3000 teenagers providing advice on drugs, sexual health
and career options. The youth workers have also provided more activities for

Bullying - Advice
for young people.
Bullying
is when a person or group of people makes someone feel frightened or bad
about themselves. This can include name-calling, violence, theft or being
forced to do something you don't want to do
DRUGS - SPOTTING THE SIGNS
The first sign of drug use are subtle and are often normal behaviour for teenagers, but if your child starts exhibiting all or many of the following characteristics, then they may be taking drugs:
DASH would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who donated their valued possessions to the Spring Fling. A wonderful ‘bring-and- buy’ sale, held at the Townsend hall on Saturday 20th March 2010. Everything from recent books, clothing and fashion wear, garden patio sets and leather dining chairs were donated for sale resulting in a grand total of £930. There are some items still waiting to be purchased on e-bay, so that total is still set to rise. This is all going to help DASH with their funding after it was drastically reduced.
The 2010 Stour Valley Business Fair, organised by the ever growing Stour United Businesses (SUBs), was recently held at the Townsend Hall and was accompanied by an Auction organised by Sheldon Bosley. Auction Lots included: a golf round for four at Brailes golf club, a ‘mirror’ Will from Needham & James Solicitors and a cookery lesson for two followed by lunch all with the Old Mill restaurant in Shipston. All proceeds from the auction were, very kindly, offered to DASH as a donation to the charity to help them during these difficult times. The grand total so far is £350 with two items still up for grabs. 1 months free membership for the whole family to Shipston Leisure Centre, and, a stay at the highly acclaimed Blackwell Grange B&B.
DASH, (Drug Action Shipston) is a voluntary run organisation, which strives to raise funds to promote healthy activities for young people in the Shipston and Stour Valley area. If any one person, business or organisation would like to donate to DASH then please get in touch with the team.

Gerlinde & Stephen Gray have entered another Banger Rally to raise funds for DASH. This one is from Lands End to John O'Groats but taking in the Welsh Mountains, the Lake District and the West Coast of Scotland. They expect to cover about 1300 miles plus the journey to and from home. The challenge is that it has to be in a car costing no more than £150 and at least 15 years old. Needless to say it has to be roadworthy and fully legal. Their car is a 1991 Volvo nicknamed "Tallulah" that they also drove to Prague in 2007 and is still in daily use.
